I’m a (late) middle-aged woman living in a rural area up north after growing up in southern California. My art and craft interests are wide ranging. I’ve crazy quilted/embellished quilted for years. Embellished quilting led to bead embroidery, which led to bead weaving and making jewelry. Last year I started doing metal work, creating yard art from recycled metal with a plasma cutter. I have a passion for yard sales and many of my buys I’ve remade, embellished and upcycled. I hate to see anything go to waste!
I try to give back to the community. I’m an active volunteer at the library, Concerned People for Animals and the Master Gardeners. I also donate arts and crafts for fund raisers.
As the name implies, my husband and I love cats. Cats come to us; waifs, strays and runaways. At present we have four housecats (Sideshow, Banshee, Natasha and Silver) and one feral outside cat (Lovey), who we had neutered. The inside cats are spoiled Feline Overlords. We do our best to serve them properly, and they are gracious enough to forgive us our shortcomings. Most of the time.
I love to read, write, grow plants- gardening is a passion, do word puzzles, and embellish everything.
